Colorado Original Rafts are hand-made by skilled craftsmen using a combination of the highest quality PVC fabrics. We make our boats from 1.2mm 52oz German made Hytex PVC, which is thicker and more durable than most of our competitors. 

Our 14ft boat is the perfect family boat for overnights.  It has ample room for gear, kids and dogs.  If your worried about safety we designed this boat to be stable in big water while also maintaining maneuverability.  This is the right boat for floating the Colorado no matter what the water level, or big water on the Ark when stability is paramount.

We designed this boat to have a fair amount of rise in the bow and stern.  This allows the boat to turn and pivot on a dime, even when carrying enough gear for the whole family.  Because of the amount of rise we put into these boats, there is less tube in contact with the river which translates into extra maneuverability whether paddling whitewater or rowing your favorite fishing run.  The ideal oar for this boat is a 9.5 ft, although you can certainly get away with a 9ft. or 10ft.

With 19"  tubes, you won't notice when it's loaded down and it will float high over shallow riffles when it's not. We redesigned the floor to provide an easily replaceable lace in drop stitch that fills the whole boat and presses tightly against the tubes.  our drop stich floor is a significant advance over old style i beams.  Our floor can be pumped up as hard as a SUP board so that the need for additional, heavy and costly fishing floors are totally unnecessary.  The seams in this boat are all thermo welded, and seam taped inside as well as out, to eliminate any chance of leaks or separation.
